Keeping Faith

Joyce Carol Oates is incredible. She’s utterly brilliant and scarily prolific. She has written across all genres and produced hundreds of beautifully crafted works. At the moment I’m reading her book Faith of a Writer, a collection of essays on the art and craft of writing. Despite having written (a meagre) eleven books myself, I’m always amazed at how much more there is to learn about writing. Every book teaches me something new – both those I read and those I write. The whole process of writing is a never-ending adventure.

You can watch Joyce Carol Oates talk about her writing here.
