The Wonderful West

Tomorrow I head west, flying across Australia to spend two and a half weeks as a guest of The Literature Centre in Fremantle. For many Australian children’s authors, The Literature Centre is a home away from home. I’ve packed my bag and my kit of workshop materials and I’m looking forward to working with hundreds of sharp young writers in Fremantle and Newman in Western Australia

Sky-eaters in America

EatTheSky_FNLCover(1)I love the way a book, once it’s released into the wild, can have many lives. Eat the Sky, Drink the Ocean grew from a conversation in Delhi in 2012.  In March 2017, it will be published in the U.S.A. by Margaret K. McElderry books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster. The sky is never the limit.

Open Evening – The Faber Academy at Allen & Unwin
